Medicinal plants are highly beneficial to the human body and treats several diseases and bacterial infections due to high concentrations of antioxidants.Alarge number of medicinal and aromatic plants viz, shatavari, Sabah snake grass, insulin plant, ranapala, samudrapala, Krishna thulasi, ram thulasi, lavangthulasi, nallerukaada, lemon grass, aloe vera, gucchapatra, ajwainplant, bryophyllumand Betel vine has established in medicinal block to encourage and gain practical and visual knowledge to the students and well equipped with special cultural operations. Students are well educated practically about the benefits of medicinal plants. Training programmeshas been conducted to the students about production technology and growing conditions of medicinal plants to retain higher oil concentrations and volatile compounds. We propagated different medicinal plants through cuttings, divisions etc.
