SC/ST Cell
SC/ST Cell
Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) have been identified as the two most backward groups of Indian society. They include all the castes, races, or tribes which have been socially, economically, and educationally backward. The cell has been established to support and guide students bringing to the mainstream. The SC/ST cell at the college was established in 2016-17 with the purpose of empowering the SC/ST students. The college takes special interest in facilitating financial support to students by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Government of India, and NGOs. These students enrolled in career orientation programs; it helps build up their personality development.
To address student concerns, SC/ST meetings will be held every 3 months. These meetings aim to:
1. Identify student issues
2. Discuss scholarship-related problems
3. Address hostel facility concerns
This regular interaction will help ensure student welfare and prompt resolution of issues.
