Horticulture Profile
The Department of Horticulture is dedicated to offering high-quality education and has gone to considerable lengths to achieve educational excellence. The basic mandate of the department is to develop appropriate human resource for carrying out various horticultural activities in the college not only to upskill the students but also to promote sustainable development of horticulture among the various stakeholders.
In the Departmentof Horticulture regular activities were conducted not only to indulge them actively in various field works but also to enhance the skills of students. As part of regular programmes many activities took place under the guidance of our esteemed Associate Dean & experienced faculty such as Vertical Garden, mango plantation in fruit orchard, educational tours, regular plantation of Vegetables crops, Ornamentals, medicinal & aromatic plants etc.
The Department has been established with perspective to impart education in different branches of horticulture (viz., Vegetable science, fruit science, floriculture & landscaping, plantation crops, medicinal & aromatic crops) through regular activities. The Department of Horticulture delivers education imparted in this college that will help in building a secure, sustainable and quality future of the state, country and the world through its well-trained graduates.
