Soil Science & Agril Chemistry Profile
Soil science studies the chemical, physical, biological, and mineralogical composition of soils as they relate to agriculture. The department of soil science at SBVR Agricultural College is having well equipped laboratory facilities to impart practical knowledge to the students about determination of different physical and physico-chemical properties of the soils, Analysis of soils, irrigation water, plant and manures for various parameters which are included in course curriculum.
Soil Science lab with Island tables is located in the ground floor of SBVR Agricultural College with 1800 sq.ft. Instrumentation, internet and chalk & talk facilities are available with 40 members seating capacity to conduct practical classes in the laboratory. Department has well qualified and experienced 2 Assistant Professors and 1 lab assistant to teach & maintain the laboratory, respectively.
